ABOUT ME
_JPG.jpg)
My jewellery - with a life-long passion for the environment, I draw inspiration from the textures, shapes and colours of nature.
I use techniques such as texturing with a rolling mill, casting of leaves and other found objects and forming of silver sheet in many ways, such as complex hammering or 'Repoussé'. Touches of gold add depth to the silver, and burnishing brings flashes of sunlight. To give additional colour I also use semi-precious gems and enamel.
Having first made jewellery alongside my parents as a child, over the years I have studied on numerous courses including at the City Lit, Goldsmiths College, with Jinks McGrath at her workshops, at West Dean, with Jessica Turrell, and with Fabrizio Acquafresca, to name just a few.
Please see this article about my jewellery and inspiration from the Association for Contemporary Jewellery:
Forest Bathing is a continuation of my life long passion for nature and the environment - as you will have read in the above article.
Helping others to benefit from the joy and benefits of nature, I am now a trained Forest Bathing and Nature Connection guide - taking people out into nature for mindful, healing, creative and restful walks. My training is accredited by the Complimentary Medical Association and is based on the scientifically proven Japanese practice of 'Shinrin Yoku' which is widely practices for well-being.
